Karachi: The Endowment Fund Trust for Preservation of the Heritage of Sindh held a panel discussion regarding heritage in an urban context at the Mohatta Palace Museum, according to a news source. This event was held in collaboration with Habib University, and was moderated by Saima Zaidi.
The panel comprised of Architect Taimoor Khan Mumtaz, Nur Sobers Khan, Founder of the Citizens Police Liaison Committee Jameel Yusuf, and Architect Arif Hasan. These eminent experts in their respective fields discussed what heritage means, and its link to tourism and consumerism.

The panellists had interesting views to share, and agreed that heritage should be appreciated for what it represents. They also stated that heritage should be preserved in order to give the younger generations a historical perspective of these cities. Such events, which increase awareness about culture and heritage, were lauded by the audience for their role in educating the general public.
