According to the beverage company, plastic is used to make roads across the globe as such roads are more durable. The main purpose of this project is to preserve the environment against the adverse effects of plastic. CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed stated that Islamabad produces 700 tonnes of waste on a daily basis with 150 tonnes of it being plastic waste. Having more plastic roads will help decrease the cost of roads and reduce pollution. It is important to note that before starting this road project, the CDA and other partners conducted a trial run in F-9 Park.
