Lahore: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives have announced that the self-enumeration facility for the 7th Population and Housing Census will be made available from February 20, the newspaper announcement read.

The said census will be the first-ever digital census in the country’s history. For the self-enumeration, the interested parties have been asked to register themselves at https://self.pbs.gov.pk till March 3.
How to self-enumerate in the 7th Population and Housing Census?
Here is how you can self-enumerate in the 7th Population and Housing Census:
- Sign-up at the website/register your mobile number
- Provide the one-time password (OTP) received from PBS/9727
- Complete the census questionnaire and submit
- A code will be then sent to your registered mobile number via SMS
- Provide the UTN code to the census enumerators visiting you during the field enumeration
- Field enumerators will verify the submitted information through electronic devices

Reportedly, the field enumerations/household visits will be conducted between March 1 and April 1 to conduct a national census for evidence-based policy-making in Pakistan.
