Lahore: Senator Faisal Javed Khan, on Tuesday, stated that Pakistan’s coronavirus strategy will be commemorated at a World Economic Forum (WEF) event on November 25 where Prime Minister Imran Khan will be the chief guest – a news source reported.

Speaking on the occasion, the senator stated that WEF is acknowledging successful policies of the government to contain the coronavirus. He added that this is yet another endorsement of Pakistan’s brilliant strategy that helped it contain the negative impact of coronavirus and lockdown on both the population and the economy.

WEF will showcase Pakistan’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic as a case study just as, previously, other international forums have also stressed learning from Pakistan’s response.
In September, World Health Organisation Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had listed Pakistan among the countries that the world could learn from in terms of handling pandemic.
