Lahore: Pakistan’s 6th Industrial Expo is currently taking place at the International Expo Center Johar Town Lahore, according to a news published national dailies on October 17. The expo features Chinese companies showcasing their technical expertise that suits Pakistan’s industrial and construction sectors.

Chinese Consul General in Lahore Zhao Shiren on Saturday inaugurated the expo. As per the sources, the three-day exhibition will continue till Monday evening featuring 150 top Chinese manufacturing businesses presenting mostly CNC machinery, construction machinery, renewable energy, building material, and agricultural machinery.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Shiren congratulated the organizers and stated that such exhibitions were important for promoting commercial relations and demonstrating the utilisation of current technology. He stated that China fully supports Pakistan in adopting modern technology in all domains, including agriculture.
Delegations from several chambers and associations, particularly from Sargodha, Sahiwal, Abbottabad, the Furniture Manufacturers Association (FMA), and Daroghawala Industrial Area (DIA), have also visited the stalls at the expo.

Pakistan will host its first international housing exhibition in November this year, with Chinese companies bringing their housing-related technologies. The expo is intended to provide important insight into how to bridge the gap between demand and supply for contemporary affordable housing in Pakistan.
