The Passport Index is the world’s leading real-time passport ranking tool. It compiles the IPPR every year by combining the Mobility Score (MS), which is the number of countries one can visit without visa (or obtain it on arrival), and the United Nations (UN) Development Program’s Human Development Index (UNDP HDI).
The higher the MS, the better will be the IPPR. Meanwhile, the UNDP HDI plays the role of a tiebreaker in case two passports have the same MS.

The Pakistani passport scored an MS of 33 due to visa-free access to seven countries and obtaining it on arrival in 26 countries. According to IPPR 2020, the Pakistani passport rank stood at 192nd position while the top three ranks belonged to the passports of Japan, New Zealand, and Finland respectively.
