Washington DC: Finance Minister Asad Umar headed a Pakistani delegation in a meeting with representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and World Bank (WB), a news source reported. They discussed issues related to the economy and the reforms taking place in Islamabad.

The delegation also met with representatives from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and WB in the sidelines of their spring meetings. The delegation met with the ADB President Takehiko Nakao, and briefed him about Pakistan’s macroeconomic situation. The two discussed the ongoing cooperation between ADB and Pakistan in various development projects. Nakao assured Umar that the ADB would support the ongoing reforms process in its due capacity.

Umar also reviewed Pakistan’s WB portfolio with the WB team led by its South Asia Vice President, Hartwig Schafer. They discussed ongoing projects, as well as opportunities for future cooperation.
