According to reports, the customs clearance one-window crossing project would be completed by July 2023 with a PKR 16.60 billion grant from ADB. Once completed, the project will increase trade volume between the countries by 37%, reducing the time it takes for items to be cleared. In an interview with the media, Torkham Additional Collector Customs Muhammad Tayyab stated that the system is meant to link and coordinate 77 different departments in order to clear products on time and reduce the cost of doing business for traders.
