TDAP officials told the National Assembly Standing Committee on Commerce that, although joined only recently, Pakistan has topped the list after the United States and China. The most current rating demonstrates Pakistan’s potential as a key export partner and its capacity to create significant revenue from online trading. The source also noted that, despite just becoming an Amazon partner a year ago, the ranking has taken the export sectors and traditional export partners by surprise. Pakistan is presently one of the top three new vendors on Amazon’s US marketplace in 2022.

It is worth noting that after a year of discussions between Amazon and Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Amazon permitted Pakistani vendors to register trade accounts in May 2021. To further facilitate the merchants and new business initiatives, the government has also constructed a special Amazon trade centre in Multan.
