The report named Annual Report on Investment Security of China’s “Belt and Road” Construction (2021) is an outcome of the collaborative study executed by the China Belt and Road Think Tank Cooperation Alliance, Beijing International Studies University, and other institutions.
The report pointed out that Pakistan has reformed the policies regarding the permits, no objection certificate (NOCs) issuance for the construction, and registering new businesses. These policies have resulted in the security and ease of doing business, and have attracted foreign direct investment in the country.

Moreover, the report has also pointed out the improvement of economic security by 220% as compared to 2019. Similarly, the report has placed Pakistan’s social security at a middle and low level, majorly affected by unrest as a result of geopolitical considerations.
The annual report is released by the think tank to assess the situation in the countries along with the Belt and Road (BoR) initiative.
