Islamabad: The Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) is all set to display traditional handmade furniture at the Mexican International Furniture Fair later this month, according to a news report. This was decided during a meeting headed by the PFC Chief Executive Mian Kashif Ashfaq who stressed that Pakistan must explore trade and investment opportunities in countries such as Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.
Ashfaq also highlighted that the demand for Pakistani handmade furniture in international markets is pretty high, with about 120 million potential buyers. He also added that both Pakistan and Mexico have good prospects for improving trade and businesses between countries and that more of such initiatives should be taken to enhance trade.
