Islamabad: Pakistan will be showcasing its rich tourism potential in a 3-day mega tourism event – ITB Berlin 2023 – happening from March 7 to March 9 at the Berlin Expo Center City, Germany, a news source reported on March 6.

As per the details, the Pakistan Tourism Development Cooperation (PTDC) and other provincial and regional partners will showcase Pakistan’s tourism potential. A PTDC official (whose name was not disclosed) stated that Internationale Tourismus-Borse (ITB) Berlin is the world’s largest tourism trade fair annually. This year, it is expected to be attended by over 10,000 exhibitors and 160,000 visitors. The exhibitors will include tourism boards, travel agents, system suppliers, airlines, tourism departments, tour operators, and car rental agencies from over 180 countries.
Moreover, the PTDC official opined that participation of Pakistan in the international tourism fest will help create a soft image of the country and attract more tourists. It will enhance Business to Business (B2B) and Government to Government (G2G) linkages in the hospitality and tourism sector.
