The National Coordination Committee decided on March 21 that Pakistan would suspend its international flight operations for 14 days (till April 4) to help curb the spreading of the novel coronavirus through new arrivals. The committee, however, allowed Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to fly back its planes from foreign airports. Yusuf informed that the Pakistani passengers in international airports were either flown back into the country or accommodated in a foreign country with visas issued to them.
Previously, the government had suspended the operations of passenger trains until March 31 and has not yet announce whether the passenger train services will resume their services or the deadline will be extended.
