Rawalpindi: With the aim of generating revenue, the Pakistan Railways (PR) has started renting out its land. The government bagged a sum of Rs 2.7 million in a recent auction of 30 acres of PR’s agricultural land in Rawalpindi.
According to a news resource, the PR now plans to rent out more of its land along railway tracks for a period of one year. The proposed areas where the PR’s land would be rented out include Chaklala, Jhanda Chichi, Bakery Chowk, Diesel Workshop Colony and Westridge.
