Hyderabad: Pakistan Railways Minister, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, has promised to launch a railcar service between Hyderabad and Karachi, a news source reported. He was addressing the representatives of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI).
Rasheed stated that tender has already been floated. The department plans to launch the service as soon as sufficient number of coaches is available.

Meeting the demands HCCI demands, he announced to launch a spate freight wagon. It will operate from the Hyderabad Railway Station under the HCCI management. The HCCI will make a 10-day advance payment to make the service available. Rasheed added that he has awarded two freight wagons with 30 containers each to Karachi.
He also promised to make efforts for making the Hyderabad Station friendly for disabled people. He added that railway stations will soon have restaurants offering quality meals.
