Lahore: Pakistan Railways Inspector General (IG) Dr Mujeeb-ur-Rehman has launched a tree plantation campaign for Pakistan Railways, according to a news report. He planted a sapling at Central Police Office Railways. DIG Operations Shariq Jamal Khan and Superintendent (SP) Railway Police Lahore Raja Zaheer Arshad were also present at the launch.
The IG said that the plantation is of extreme importance to tackle environmental pollution in Pakistan. He said that thousands of saplings will be planted by Pakistan Railways. PR Divisional Superintendent Lahore also launched the tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at the Cantonment Railway Station on Wednesday. He stated on the occasion that around 15,000 saplings would be planted in the Lahore Division.
