Karachi: Pakistan Railways has announced that it will beautify the stations, walls and tracks on the route of Karachi Circular Railway’s which runs for a total of 14 kilometres – a news source reported on December 18. This route for KCR runs between Karachi City Station and Orangi Town Station.

Pakistan Railways is making arrangements to complete the project on the basis of public-private partnership. The railways authorities have also advertised for the firms to bid for the beautification drive. A major part of the drive will include painting of the station, surroundings of the tracks and the walls along the route. Moreover, pedestrian bridges will also be constructed on the project.

The authorities are yet to announced the new date for when KCR track will be made operational again.
