Islamabad: Pakistan and Qatar have decided to strengthen cooperation in different fields including; energy, technology, agriculture, science, investment, and trade, according to news published on January 24.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar met Qatar’s Minister for Energy Affairs Engineer Saad Bin Sherida Al Kaabi and Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari in Doha. During the meeting, the countries discussed different areas of mutual interest and avenues to improve cooperation in various fields including finance, trade, and investment. They agreed that both countries share cordial and historical relations and must explore different avenues for cooperation.
Moreover, Finance Minister Dar apprised the counterpart regarding the recovery and rehabilitation efforts after massive floods in Pakistan. He also invited the Qatari Finance Minister to visit Pakistan.

The meeting was also attended by Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Government Effectiveness Dr Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan and Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar E. Muhemmed Aejaz.
