Pakistan Property Show was a little different for not just Zameen.com but the UAE, too. More than 14,000 people showed up over the two days, breaking some records in the process but highlighting something much more important: the passion that overseas Pakistanis have for the country.
The event was visited by all kinds of families. Big families, small families, new families with young children, and older families with many members. Unlike other events, Pakistan Property Show had the privilege of being an event that was frequented in large numbers by serious buyers.
The developers at the event told us repeatedly that they had run out of business cards, or didn’t have enough manpower to deal with the onslaught of inquiries. This speaks volumes about the success of our show, but it says something more about how overseas Pakistanis feel about their home country.
The event proved to the world that overseas Pakistanis are interested in property back in Pakistan, either to invest in their own country, or to buy a home they can come back to. The Pakistani visitors we had at the event took great interest and pride in the projects being showcased at the global platform that is the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Our data in the past has shown that over 93% of overseas Pakistanis wish to invest back in their own country. This was evident in the Pakistan Property Show as we saw several overseas Pakistanis take interest, some with their families.
The visitors weren’t limited to just grown-ups. The event saw families with children accompanying them. We talked to a young visitor and not only was he aware of Zameen.com and its name in the industry, he told us that he was having a great time there with his family. Here’s what the confident Talal had to say!
Mr Waqas Qadir was told by his friends that Zameen.com was organising the Pakistan Property Show. It goes without saying that he made sure to attend! “This is my first experience at such an event,” he told us. “I congratulate the Zameen.com management for holding this much-needed exhibition at one of the most prominent business hubs in the world, Dubai.” He further added, “This event will help in promoting Pakistani real estate in the world, and people here are very interested in all the stalls.”
Mr Afzaal, an overseas Pakistani visitor who resides in Dubai, was also of the opinion that the property show was a much-needed event, since it provided people to see what the Pakistani property market has to offer to a global audience. “Events like Pakistan Property Show are very important and should be held more often, especially for people who are settled abroad and wish to invest in Pakistan,” he said.
We also talked to Mr Muhammad Haseeb, who lauded the event to no end. “This is a very good step, and we (Pakistanis) are glad for this property show,” he said. “Through events like this, we can show the world how the property sector is greatly developing in Pakistan,” he added.
All in all, one of the biggest factors for the success of the Pakistan Property Show was the large number of families and overseas Pakistanis who took interest. They proved that no matter where they live, their hearts belong back home, and Zameen.com brought them a chunk of their own land to Dubai so they could invest in the Pakistani property market.
