He said that the trend of electrical cars should be promoted since it will reduce carbon emission levels as well as Pakistan’s import bill for oil. He added that the executive under the said policy would incentivise manufacturing of batteries and other articles as it wanted local products to compete with the market.
According to reports, the electrical cars will be able to carry at least four passengers and will not face any maintenance issues during the rainy season because of waterproof components – as well as chargeable batteries instead of oil-based engines.
