This will be the first landing project to be open for foreign investment in the field of power transformation and transmission in Pakistan. A total of USD 1.658 billion will be invested in this project, which is expected to be made functional by 2021.
The company won the bid for the direct and alternating current pillar insulators, as well as the zinc oxide surge arresters for the project due to its years of experience in ultra-high voltage production. Thirty tonnes of direct current (DC) 660 kilovolts of Zinc Oxide Lightning Cooler have been sent to Pakistan for use in this project.
