The European Commission situated in Brussels contended that there are no solid grounds or basis to exclude Pakistan from the GSP+ status list thus the country will remain on the list until the next review in 2024.
The EU Commission, on the other hand, has inserted six additional requirements for Pakistan to follow in order to continue in the category. The commission advocated for stricter adherence to climate change legislation, the Paris Climate Agreement, improved accessibility for individuals with impairments, and the abolition of child labour.
