Islamabad: Australia’s Acting Deputy High Commissioner Dave Preston has urged Pakistan to use the expertise of Australian firms for sorting water issues in the country, reported a news source. He was addressing a seminar organised by the Asia Foundation; Nexus Matters – Institutionalising the Water, Energy, and Food Narrative in Sindh.
Preston said that Australia has over 1,000 firms engaged in the water sector. These firms can essentially help improve water supply, harvesting, recycling and even distribution for the agricultural sector in the country. Many cities in Australia face acute water shortage where water management and its proper supply is done along modern lines.
