Lahore: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday revealed that the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal application had registered over 1.5 million users within a period of 15 months, a news source reported.

In a statement issued over Twitter, the PM said that the portal had a 92% resolution rate for the public complaints registered on it. He added that this result was unprecedented in Pakistan. He lauded his team for overcoming the gap between the public and the government departments. He opined that this was actual empowerment of the citizens.
Meanwhile, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Khan also stated that the resolution of 92% of the complaints registered on the portal was a big achievement. He added that the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal has also provided overseas Pakistanis an opportunity to get their issues resolved online.

PM Khan inaugurated the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal in October 2018. The aim of the portal was to help citizens send their complaints directly to the PM’s Office. In return, the relevant government departments would address the citizens’ grievances and execute the recommendations of the public in a timely manner.
