Beijing: Pakistani and Chinese traders recently participated in the ‘2020 Zhejiang Export Online Fair’ hosted in Hangzhou, China, according to a news source. During the proceedings, they carried out negotiations through online video conferencing.

Over 150 Chinese and Pakistani companies participated in this fair, and around 300 rounds of precision-matching negotiations took place. The fair aims to promote Pakistani hardware and electromechanical products. It is the first online event specifically for Pakistan’s traders and businesses.

The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce organised this event in order to promote business activities. They held it online due to the current pandemic situation. Minister of Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan Wang Zhihua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce Deputy Director Han Jie, and the Deputy Director of Punjab Investment and Trade Bureau Muhammad Sohail Qadri were present at the opening ceremony and gave speeches during the event.
During his address, Han Jie revealed that the bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and Zhejiang was at USD 3.7 billion. He added that numerous industries contributed to this growth.
