Islamabad: Pakistan and Brazil are in the process of devising a free-trade agreement (FTA) which would facilitate Brazilian traders & investors seeking investment opportunities within the country, a news source reported.

Brazil’s Ambassador to Pakistan Claudio Lins expressed his views on the matter during the inaugural meeting of the Pakistan-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group on Wednesday.
He said that the group factored as a much-needed initiative to promote economic, political and cultural ties between the two counties. He added that Brazilian investors would benefit from investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Moreover, the Brazilian envoy asked the Pakistani business community to explore joint ventures in the Brazilian agricultural sector. He informed the participants that his country was the world’s largest producer of coffee, soy-bean, sugarcane, and oranges.
