Islamabad: The 5th edition of the Burj CEO Awards and Summit was organised in Dubai where Pakistan’s pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020 was presented the ‘Best Pavilion Exterior Design’ award, according to the news story published on Wednesday (March 30).

Pakistan pavilion was among the few star attractions at the Expo that attracted more than 1 million visitors. According to the details disclosed by the Foreign Ministry, the Pakistan pavilion, beginning from October 1 till February 15, attracted more than a million visitors. Situated in the Opportunity District of the Expo 2020, the pavilion spans over 35,000 sq. ft. The main theme of the Pakistan pavilion was ‘Pakistan, the Hidden Treasure’. This was an attempt to let the world see the hidden gems of the country.

Moreover, the pavilion design was completed by Rashid Rana – a well-known designer – in March 2021. The designer was also honoured with Sitara-e-Imtiaz – Pakistan’s third-highest civilian award.
