Islamabad: Representatives from Pakistan and Canada have decided to hold a joint working group meeting next month in Islamabad to discuss and find possibilities for increasing bilateral relations between both countries.
The meeting was held between Commerce Minister Pervez Malik, Canadian International Trade Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne and Canadian Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen in Ottawa on 12th January, 2018.
Malik informed the Canadian representative that Pakistan is an attractive market for Canadian goods and, because of its sustained economic growth, it also offers attractive trade and investment options. He then went on to highlight the unprecedented increase in Foreign Direct Investment in the country because of CPEC, and international investments in automobile, telecom, and various other industries.
Champagne expressed his gratitude to the Commerce Minister and said that steps to increase bilateral relations between the two would soon be realised.
