Islamabad: Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar engaged in signing multi-billion-dollar Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to bolster bilateral strategic cooperation, claimed by a news source on November 28.

The news source shared that the two leaders signed a number of MoUs acknowledging the enduring fraternal relations between Pakistan and the UAE. These agreements, under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), cover investment cooperation in sectors such as energy, port operations projects, wastewater treatment, food security, logistics, minerals, and banking & financial services.

Furthermore, the PM reiterated Pakistan’s wholehearted support for the UAE’s Presidency for COP 28. Stressing its significance, he emphasised the opportunity it presents for substantial progress in key areas, particularly in mitigating climate impact, including the establishment of the Loss and Damage Fund.
