Islamabad: Russian Company Gazprom has started work on preparation of feasibility report for Pak-Russia gas pipeline project, reported a news source. The agreement between the two countries was inked on September 26.
The report will be prepared after considering its technical and monetary aspects, and inspection of the initial route for laying the pipeline. The report will be prepared within 12 months. Under this project, Pakistan will be able to export up to one billion cubic feet gas via sea on a daily basis.
In this regard, as revealed by sources from Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the two country agreed to form a joint working group, which will monitor the project and submit a report every three months. The project is expected to be completed in three to four years.
