Islamabad: Pakistan’s IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) export remittances saw a notable uptick, rising by approximately 14.9% in the first eight months (July-February) of the fiscal year 2023-24, according to a news article published on March 19.

As disclosed in the details, the rise observed a total of USD 1.977 billion compared to USD 1.720 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year. However, there was a slight decline of about 4% on a month-on-month basis in February 2024, with remittances standing at USD 257 million compared to USD 265 million in January 2024. Year-on-year (YoY), the sector’s export remittances surged by approximately 32% compared to February 2023, reaching USD 257 million.
