Islamabad: A groundbreaking ceremony at the Prime Minister’s office was held for a USD 200 million modern glass manufacturing complex, a joint venture between Pakistan and China, according to a news source. The two groups, Deli China and JW SEZ Group have joined hands to build this complex in Pakistan, which will produce premium, export-quality glass products.
At this ceremony, prominent businessmen, government officials and a Chinese delegation were present. Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his positive sentiments and support for this initiative and said that initiatives like ‘Make in Pakistan’ are highly beneficial for the economic progress of the country.
For this project, the two companies have established Deli-JW Glassware Company Limited and the financing for it is also being assisted by Pak-China Investment Company.
This project will be set up in Industrial City M-3, Faisalabad, and the processing unit of raw materials for this plant will be set up in Risalpur, Khyber Pakhtunwa.
