Rawalpindi: The media wing of the Pakistan Army on Tuesday said that the country’s military and naval forces actively engaged in contributing to the ongoing relief efforts enacted in the aftermath of the damage caused by torrential rain in the flood-hit Dadu – and has provided medical care to over 250 people along with distributing over 34,000 ration packets in the district, according to news sources.

Reportedly, after four heavy-downpour rain spells, over 350 villages in Dadu district of Sindh have been flooded, creating serious problems for the locals.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army flew in special helicopters to evacuate stranded people to safer places. The forces have been distributing cooked meals and providing medical aid as well.

The media wing reported that so far 34,000 cooked ration packs have been distributed. Drinkable water, edibles and dry rations have also been handed over to help the people in the flood-hit areas.
