Islamabad: The Pakistan Government gears up to kickstart the construction of a railway line spanning 105 kilometres from Thar to Port Qasim, according to a reported news article on April 10.
As disclosed in the details, this initiative aims to transport coal from Thar’s fields to power plants across Pakistan. Jointly funded by the Federal and Sindh governments, the project will be managed by Federal authorities. It is intended to enhance the contribution of coal-based energy to Pakistan’s energy mix.
