The minister stated that Pakistan would be installing an 11-kilometre-long railway track from Chaman to Spin Boldak in the project’s initial phase. A survey has been completed for this train track and a PC-1 for the project is under progress. Minister Rasheed also hinted at the possibility of extending the track from Spin Boldak to Kandahar, on the condition that the Afghan government was willing to give its approval to the proposal. He opined that the train project would help facilitate trade between the two countries.
