According to police officials, the registration of the tenants was introduced in 2009. Under this scheme, the police collected the following details of the tenants:
- Name of the tenant
- Father’s name
- CNIC number
- Occupation
- Number of family members
After that, the police verified the status to determine whether the information is correct and checked if they had a criminal record. Reportedly, the criminals have changed their tactics. Previously, the criminals used the small hotel to carry out their activities and then, they moved to nullahs and wooded areas. Now, they are using rented houses.
