Lahore: Overseas Pakistanis have helped upgrade the urology ward of Lahore General Hospital, according to a news report. Now, the air-conditioned ward will have the capacity for 72 beds instead of the previous 40. The patients will also have the facilities for a minor operation theatre on the same floor.
According to the details, separate wards and waiting areas have also been created for children, males and females. The new ward was inaugurated on 2nd May 2018 in a ceremony. The gathering was addressed and told that when the ward was originally formed in 1978, it had 15 beds, now it has the capacity for 72. Similarly, previously there were only two dialysis machines, but now there are 33, and now the procedures being performed are state-of-the-art and modern.
