The aim of the exercise is to document immovable properties situated across Pakistan; in addition to facilitating the federal and provincial authorities and regulatory bodies (including the Federal Board of Revenue) in their real estate-documentation efforts.
Speaking at the event, Akbar revealed that the IIPS was leading the way in the detailed mapping and digitisation of urban land in the entire country using PropSure Digital Solutions. By gathering such information, the institute will provide policy recommendations to the government, regulators, academia, and the private sector, he added.
During the inaugural session, it was revealed that IIPS would collaborate with the National University of Science & Technology (NUST) to initiate a special capacity building course. This programme is expected to train real estate agents and other field stakeholders.
