Islamabad: The Ministry of Climate Change has allocated more than PKR 800 million for protection of forestry in the city. This includes work on new development programmes, as well as ongoing projects. The Ministry has decided to allocate funds for the Fiscal Year 2018-19 for both new and ongoing projects in the country. The funds amount to PKR 800 million.
Funds have been allocated for protection and expansion of the forested area, protection of wildlife species, Zoological Survey of Pakistan, construction of zoo and botanical garden, Sustainable Management Program, and for various other programs.
