Lahore: The authorities concerned have identified 4,145 kanals of state land for the construction of affordable housing units in the city, a news source reported. According to the details revealed, the officials concerned have designated these seven spots for housing projects being developed under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP).

The land identified include 1,000 kanals in Mohlanwal-1, 2,000 kanals in Mohlanwal-2, 1,000 kanals in Kamahan, 54 kanals in Harbanspura-1, 26 kanals in Harbanspura-2, 30 kanals at Thokar Niaz Beg-1, and 35 kanals in Thokar Niaz Beg-2.
The land reserved for NPHP developments belong to the Liquidation Board and the Chief Settlement Commission. The departments concerned will commence with the land acquisition process following Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar’s approval.
