Peshawar: The Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service distributed over 300,000 Zu cards in the two weeks since its launch, a news source reported on August 27. According to details, the service distributed around 315,000 Zu cards, out of which the people purchased around 41,000 cards, and the remaining were distributed by TransPeshawar.

TransPeshawar officials stated that an average of 100,000 passengers used the Peshawar BRT service daily. They added that this number would increase with time depending on people’s interest in the project.
Recently, the project’s Hayatabad feeder route was inaugurated. As per sources, the authorities concerned will also inaugurate the remaining feeder routes in the coming weeks – leading to an increased number of passengers.

Sources revealed that passengers who have used the service so far have expressed their satisfaction with the project. However, they said that more would be revealed about the quality and efficiency of the buses in at least six months.
