Islamabad: The federal government on Friday announced that it had completed more than 130 development schemes under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2019-20, a news source reported. It further stated the relevant departments used about 80% of the allocated funds for completing 132 development projects.

To this effect, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that the utilisation of development funds was higher within the last two years. In this regard, a list of completed development schemes under PSDP 2019-20 was forwarded to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The list highlighted the completion of major projects in different parts of the country. These included the 6-lane highway from Kala Shah Kaku to Lahore Ring Road, Faisalabad-Khanewal (M-4) Motorway, KKH Phase-II Havalian-Thakot, Lahore-Multan Motorway (M-3 section), Sukkur-Multan section of Peshawar-Karachi motorway project, and several others.

Official sources also highlighted that due to the global COVID-19 situation, some projects did face delays, but the departments concerned would the working on these soon.
