Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Saturday (February 12) ordered the relevant wings to expedite the work on the Rawal Dam Interchange project, according to news sources.

CDA Member Engineering Sayed Munawar Shah visited the project site to check the progress of construction. He directed that all the available resources should be used for the completion of the project. According to a CDA engineer, the work on the foundation of any project takes plenty of time. The foundation work of the Rawal Dam Interchange has been completed and all other work will be completed within the deadline (October).

It is pertinent to note that the project was inaugurated in July 2020; however, the work officially commenced in October 2020. A few months ago, CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed visited the project site ordered to complete the project within a stipulated time. A CDA official mentioned that once the Rawal Dam Interchange project is completed, the authority will work on the expansion of Park Road to ease the burden of traffic.
