Lahore Division Commissioner Dr Mujtaba Paracha and Lord Mayor Colonel (retired) Mubashir Javed co-chaired a special meeting to this effect.
The mayor informed that the decision to unseal the marriage halls concerned was taken to facilitate individuals who had pre-booked them (prior to their forced closure). He added that some families had even sent wedding invitations, so it had become necessary to solve their problem.
