Islamabad: Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi on Wednesday took notice of land grabbing activities on Park Road – a news source reported.
He expressed his views on the matter during a visit to the city’s Chatha Bakhtawar area. Ali Awan and Zulfi Bukhair, the prime minister’s aides, and MNA Raja Khurram Nawaz were present at the occasion.

Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat and officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) gave briefings with regard to the land encroachment activities.
Moreover, the deputy commissioner presented a survey report of the state land illegally occupied. He said that a revised report is being prepared; due for presentation till Friday.

In response, Minister Afridi said that the government will not tolerate any illegal activity on its land. He also directed the officials concerned to retrieve the occupied state land on a priority basis.
It is pertinent to mention that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) previously issued orders concerned with the demarcation of Park Road.
