Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Muhammad Usman Moazzam has instructed his staff to upload the details of plots which come under the civic authority’s jurisdiction to the computers, a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting, which was held to review various technical matters pertaining to geo mapping and satellite imaging of various areas and housing schemes in Lahore.
For this purpose, the LDA officials concerned have been tasked with developing a smartphone application that will be programmed to receive public feedback.
Sharing his vision about the proposed digitisation initiative, DG Moazzam instructed his staff to include relevant information pertaining to private housing schemes, details on the city’s commercialisation status, as well as a record of properties owned by the LDA.

He also instructed that the data should be linked with the Geographic Information System.
