Lahore: The Orange Line Metro Rail Transit System (OLMRTS) has secured awards for two brands of the year, including the ‘Emerging Brand of the Year’ category of urban rail transit, news sources reported on September 1.

The awards were presented to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Orange Line Metro Train Li Chen during a special event. Li Chen noted on the occasion that the awards are a recognition for the management’s efforts to make urban transportation a reality. According to him, the Orange Line Metro Project has remained popular because of its international facilities and standards. He went on to say that a modern and convenient mass transport system, such as the Orange Line Metro, is vital for a metropolis like Lahore and serves as a model for future projects of a similar nature.

It’s worth noting that the Orange Line Train Project is one of the most cutting-edge mass transit projects in the country’s history. The train travels from Thokkar Niaz Baig to Dera Gujjran on a 27-kilometre-long track that can serve 30,000 passengers per hour.
