Lahore: The Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) has finalised the fares for the Orange Lime Metro Train (OLMT) ticketing system, a news source reported. In a recent meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, the PMA officials proposed fixing the fares between PKR 40 and PKR 50 for customers who would avail the service following its operationalisation, along with increasing the ticket rates of the Lahore Metro and Speedo bus services.

CM Buzdar approved to keep the fare of OLMT services at PKR 40, but rejected the proposal for increasing fares for Lahore Metro and Speedo bus services. He said that the fares for the latter would remain at the current PKR 30.
The CM has forwarded the recommendation for the OLMT fare to the provincial cabinet for its approval.
OLMT is a rapid transit system spanning over 27.1 kilometres – 25.4 kilometres elevated and 1.72 kilometres underground. It comprises 26 stations and is expected to accommodate 250,000 passengers on a daily basis.

Punjab Minister for Transport Muhammad Jehanzaib Khan Khichi had inaugurated the trial run of the train service in December 2019.
