Karachi: Sindh Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon shared that a fleet of 20 buses for Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) services have reached the depot after clearance from Karachi port and consequently, trial operations will start soon, according to a news story published on May 20.

The transport minister mentioned that the bus service at full capacity will be launched soon, after the system installation and training of bus drivers are completed. He disclosed that 97% of infrastructure work on the route has been completed.
Moreover, the minister revealed that the said bus service will provide a comfortable and safe travelling facility for the residents of Banaras Chowk, North Nazimabad, Orangi Town, and nearby areas. Initially, the Orange Line BRT will start from the Town Municipal Administration Office (Orangi Town) and will end at the Fatima Jinnah University for Women, Nazimabad.

Reportedly, the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company (SIDC) has started preparing the integration design of Orange Line BRT with Green Line BRT. After the integration, the Orange Line bus service will operate till Nagan Chowrangi.
