The premier has directed Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmad to oversee the required improvements to the route. Following the new adjustments, the Rawalpindi Metro Bus route between Saddar-Rawalpindi and Islamabad Secretariat will be linked to the Orange Line Bus Service, which transports people from Peshawar Mor to Islamabad International Airport. The suggested approach will minimise road traffic while simultaneously improving local transportation infrastructure.

It is important to recall that the Orange Line Bus service was launched a few days back to facilitate the long commute between the Peshawar Mor and Islamabad International Airport. The government has subsidised the route fare for Ramzan. As a temporary measure, buses from metro buses have been used to run the route while 30 buses have already been procured from China as a permanent solution to the public transport problem of the capital city.
